Phototherapy with Turquoise versus Blue Light

Phototherapy in preterm jaundiced infants with a new turquoise fluorescent lamp was more effective in reducing the plasma total bilirubin in relation to light irradiance than the worldwide used blue fluorescent lamp. Inconveniences to the staff were equal. Therefore, the turquoise lamps are a recommended alternative to the blue lamps.
