An Effect of Zr4+ Co-Doping of YAP:Ce Scintillator

Set of YAlO3:Ce single crystals co-doped with Zr4+ ions at concentrations of 0-200 ppm was characterized by photo-,radio- and thermoluminescence, scintillation decay and light yield measurements. Positive influence of Zr co-doping was found, especially for the speed of scintillation response and lowering of TSL active traps.
