"Selective Hydrogenation of Penta-1,3-Diene and Cyclooctadienes catalyzed by Silver modified Palladium Catalysts"

Palladium catalysts (Pd-on-C and Pd-on-?-Al2O3) and silver-modified palladium catalysts (Pd + Ag-on-C and Pd + Ag-on-?-Al2O3) were used for the hydrogonation of diolefins (Z-penta-1,3-diene, Z,Z'-cycloocta-1,3-diene and Z,Z'-cycloocta-1,5-diene) to mono-olefins. The activities and selectivities of these catalysts have been compared.
