La necropoli della Banditaccia di Cerveteri: da Raniero Mengarelli agli UAV

This paper summarizes the state of the art of the documentation of the Banditaccia Necropolis of Cerveteri and the other wants to present the results obtained so far in the first acquisition campaigns (still ongoing project) emphasizing the matching between the 3D models obtained and the objective of protect, study and valorize the Necropolis. The exceptional extent of this archaeological site has not allowed to have a complete planimetric documentation using the "traditional" indirect survey methods. It is for that reason that it has been necessary to use fast survey methods and techniques such as the photogrammetry from UAVs that have assured geometric precision, reduced time of acquisition and versatility of use.
