The ultrafast dynamics induced by photo-ionization in atoms and molecules plays an important role in a number of fundamental physical and chemical phenomena [1]. Understanding the coupling of electronic and nuclear degrees of freedom as well as the electron correlations immediately following, or accompanying, optical excitation is particularly important and requires the use of ultrafast methods [2,3]. © 2013 IEEE.
