A new computer assisted diagnosis for the safe of ancient monuments

This paper describes an environment suitable for helping the evaluation of both the conservation state of ancient monuments and the visual result of different "past, present and future" simulations. We call it a new "C.A.D.", where C.A.D. is for Computer Assisted Diagnosis. Multimedia data-base, virtual reality and Web navigation tools, advanced image analysis and photorealistic image synthesis methods are the fundamental techniques of this environment.
