abstract:
The term infosphere denotes the entire informational ecosystem populated by all informational entities (whether generated by biological agents or engineered artefacts) interacting at the same time across real and virtual dimensions. We are all immersed, to one extent or another, in the infosphere through the use of always-on mobile devices.
This paper discusses how the infosphere represents the humus for so-called "hybrid learning spaces", i.e. spaces derived by the sublimation of the real and virtual dimensions of the spaces where teaching-learning processes can take place.
The main question is: how can hybrid spaces in the infosphere foster seamless learning through the contextualization of learning and the fusion of formal, non-formal and informal learning processes?
