Solone: A database for European laws on cultural heritage

A new database for European legislation on cultural heritage has taken the name of the Athenian statesman, lawmaker and poet Solon, who lived between the end of the 7th century BC and the first half of the following century. The Solone database has been under construction since 2004 by the Laboratory for the Research, Planning, and Management of Cultural Heritage (LARTTE) of the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa (Fig. 1) and will be published at http://solone.sns.it/
