An EPR study on the binding of oxovanadium(IV) to L-histidine and L-carnosine.

V(IV)O complexes of L-histidine and L-carnosine are reported: the main species formed by L-histidine involves a mixed [(NH2, Nim, COO-), (NH2, COO-)] coordination, while L-carnosine behaves as a simple monodentate ligand.
