Abstract:
A new system, for transmitting optics in laser
Doppler anemometry, has been developed in order to measure
simultaneously the velocity in two different points.
With this apparatus it is possible to determine the spatial
velocity correlations and to verify the Taylor's hypothesis
of the frozen turbulence. The experimental result
shows that the values of the spatial correlations
obtained with Taylor's hypothesis are generally greater
than those obtained by a direct measurement.
