An object-oriented data management server

COMANDOS is an ESPRIT project aiming at the development of an infrastructure for the design and support of distributed office applications. In this work the object oriented type model a partial view of the architecture of the Comandos system are presented. The main goal of the type model is to integrate the database and the general programming language concepts in a single, coherent environment while including facilities for the distribution of objects. The functions of the major architectural components that support the type model entities discussed.
