A study of monoelectronic reduction of Artemisinin

Abstract:
The reaction of Artemisinin with solvated electrons (e^-_solv) generated by radiolytic methods led to the formation of acid 2 as the only detectable product. A possible mechanism leading to the formation of compound 2 is discussed.
