The evaluation of the pastoral value in the forestry planning. The study case of Monte Pisanu

Often understorey pastures are not included in the forestry management planning; in a 2000 Ha Quercus spp. forest, in Central Sardinia, different methods of pastoral value estimation, at different level of detail, were compared with the aim of obtaining indicators of pasture management (biomass production, suggested grazing pressure, variability in pasture quality) useful for the decision making processes of forestry management planners.
