The recent spatial extension of the trawling activity of the Mazara del Vallo (southern Sicily) fleet targeting red shrimp, allowed us to compare catch rates from fishing grounds with different exploitation history. Highest catch rates were observed around the Maltese island and in the easternmost fishing grounds of the MEditerranean which are being exploited since 2204.
