Science: perception and participation

The book presents the main results and dicussion from the final phase of experimentation and improvement of the project "Perception and Awareness of Science - Ethics and Polemics" (directed by Adriana Valente) in cooperation between Irpps-Cnr and British Council from 2001 to 2009. In 2008 the project and its methodology, focused on students participation to the scientific debate, has been selected by the FP6 Form-it Take Part in Research as one of the good practices in research partnership between Research Bodies and School Institutions. The project has so been included in the Cathalogue of Good Practices that is also availabe at: http://www.form-it.eu/download.php The book also includes short articles on science communication from the different points of view of representatives of the scientific community in different sectors of activity.
