This contribution presents as best practice the experience of Plymouth -a UK city declared in 2013 first Social Enterprise City. The UK city, through the smart usage of social enterprise, has made stronger the urban regeneration process ongoing in the city. The empirical analysis developed in loco demonstrated that the social enterprise can represent a valid support to consolidate virtuous regeneration processes starting from endogenous physical and human resources.
