Abstract:
Project PRIT is aimed at developing an Italian technology able to pretreat different lignocellulosic
materials, reducing inhibitor production, in the process to produce second generation bioethanol.
The objective is the construction of a demonstration unit to pretreat lignocellulosic biomass in order
to feed a 20,000 ton/y of ethanol plant.
