Microwave measurements of the complex dielectric permittivity of biological liquids

A method suitable for rapid and quite accurate determination of the complex dielectric constant of liquid materials at microwave frequencies is presented. Results are obtained about the behavior of the interior of intact human red blood cell. Differences in the quantity and relaxation frequency of bound water between normal and pathological individuals are also obtained
