Indice di condizione, resa delle carni e indice gonado-somatico di Flexopecten glaber nel Golfo di Taranto.

- In the present study, condition index, meat yield and gonadosomatic index were monthly evaluated in the scallop Flexopecten glaber from the Gulf of Taranto. These indices describe the different investments of the species towards viscera or gonadic tissues. Results reveal that the highest condition index and meat yield were recorded in June, December and April. Maximum gonadosomatic index was observed in the months of July, November, December and April. These results, together with the availability of seed and the growth rate of this species, make of F. glaber a good candidate to diversify the aquaculture production.
