Istrazivanje domacina B-virusa vinove loze medu zeljastim biljnim vrstama -(Survey of Grapevine virus B hosts among herbaceous plants))

The survey of herbaceous hosts of Grapevine virus B (GVB) was performed on 24 herbaceous species. Four plants of each species were separately mechanicaly inoculated with two GVB isolates: PM and MA. One month after inoculation success was checked by ELISA. Successfull transmission was confirmed in Nicotiana cavicola and N. occidentalis. Two plants (N. glutinosa inoculated with isolate MR and Impatiens walleriana cv. Jambalaya inoculated with isolate PM) with questionable ELISA-results were further analysed using RT-PCR and electron microscopy but with negative results. GVB was confirmed only in previously known herbaceous host.
