Quali sono i confini del formulario?

This paper is a contribution to the critical reflection on characters and functions of formularies and formular expressions in the Langobardic tradition of legal documents with special regard to the oldest charters from the dukedom of Salerno. I focus the opportunity to set a wider linguistic analysis of formular sequences aiming to the study of the linguistic competences that have produced these texts.
