Current density in the heart during transcranial direct current stimulation

This paper presents the results of the estimation of the distribution of the current density in the heart muscle during tDCS at 2 mA by computational methods applied to human models of different age and sex and considering both intra- and extra-cephalic electrode montages. Our results show that the levels of current densities and current strengths are much lower than the corresponding fibrillation thresholds values found in literature
