Calibrazione della tecnica Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) per la valutazione del contenuto idrico xilematico in conifere mediterranee

Calibration of the Time Domain Reflectometry technique for measuring the xylem water content in Mediterranean confers. The xylem water content is an important physiological parameter in trees. Recently, Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) was applied as a rapid, non destructive and continuous measuring technique. In a project on the effects of long term water stress on Mediterranean pines, TDR was used to measure the xylem nter content and estimate xylem embolism. In this work the calibration procedures for Pinus halepensis and Pinus laricio are presented.
