Addressing testing objectives for e-learning

In search for interoperability, this paper outlines different objectives for testing, and surveys some relevant techniques and tools, in the perspective of transferring this body of knowledge to the emerging domain of technology enhanced learning. Some specific techniques under investigation within the frame of the European FP6 project TELCERT are summarized.
