Abstract:
The paper introduces a new architectural solution named Metering Out Sensing System, in the field of
Mobile Proportional Valves for Multiple Actuators Systems. The purpose of the hydraulic system is to control the
flow directed to actuators according to the proportional control of the metering out element only, with an automatic
system to adjust the displacement of the pump, to compensate the load difference between actuators, to control both
resisting and overrunning loads and finally to activate the regeneration function. The Meter Out Sensing System in
its most basic embodiment doesn't require sensors nor electronic controls to perform a flow control proportional to
the metering out area control, in both positive or negative load control mode. The regeneration feature, moreover,
enables energy savings reducing the flow supply from the pump. The paper will present the architecture and
operating principles, providing as well the results of a Lumped Parameter Model Simulation.
