A survey of Azorean rotifers

We present the results of a short survey of marine and freshwater rotifers found on São Miguel Island in the Azores. The data, even if limited to 19 taxa, four of which at the species level and 15 at the genus level, represent the second addition of records of rotifers for the Azores. The species list for the archipelago increased from the previously known 29 to 40 and the number of genera increased from 19 to 26.
