PECTIN EXTRACTION FROM SUGAR FACTORY WASTE

Sugar beet pulp is a well-known waste in sugar production which can be used as a raw feedstock to produce alternative energy and/or useful biobased materials, such a pectin. Today the Russian Federation dependence on pectin imports is very high. So, the possibility of producing pectin from sugar beet pulp is a current and very important topic.
