Open Innovation e Ricerca Scientifica nell'Informazione Geografica

The sharing of research data is a new challenge for the scientific community that may benefit from a large amount of information to solve environmental issues and sustainability in agriculture and urban contexts. When the scientific community embraces the dimension of collaboration and sharing, access and re-use, in order to accept the open innovation approach, it should redesign and reshape the processes of data management. In this perspective and against this background, the Institute of Biometeorology, CNR, aiming at contributing to the sharing and development of research data, has developed a general purpose framework; a tool to support the scientific activities carried out in several research projects at national and international level. Until now this framework has been used for several WebGIS applications and WebApp for environmental management and climate emergencies at different temporal and spatial scales.
