Cases-Transnational Organized Crime, Supreme Court of Cassation, United Criminal Section, Judgement No. 18374 of 31 January 2013

With Law No. 146/2006, Italy ratified the United Nation Convention against Transnational Organized Crime of 15 November 2000 and its Protocols of 31 May 2001, the so-called 'Palermo Convention'. In the light of the Palermo Convention, with Judgement No. 18374 of 31 January 2013, the Supreme Court of Cassation of Italy clarified the meaning and the limitations of 'transnational organized crime' and the concept of 'criminal organized group.
