The Diptera Culicidae are the main vectors of human and animal diseases. This booklet has been written in order to inform people about the methods of prevention against mosquito bites and improve the awareness of the risk people can run through a widespread information programme. In addition, the authors outlines the components of an integrated mosquito control programme with emphasis on incorporating surveillance and larviciding into existing programmes.
