ITALIAN LAW PROVISIONS FOR MANUFACTURING AND CIRCULATING ON THE ROAD OF MANURE SPREADERS AND SLURRY TANKERS.

Italian law calls for the compliance with certain technical requirements for manufacturing manure spreaders and slurry tankers. Only this way is it possible to obtain certification by the Ministry of Transport which authorises circulation on public roads. The main restraints involving the maximum allowable clearances and weights, together with other requirements that affect the operating features of these machines, are summarised in this paper. As far as manure spreaders are concerned a description is given of the constructional simplifications of the tank introduced after elimination of the list of hazardous substances of the international ADR agreement of slurry of agricultural origin.
