Abstract:
The present paper deals with the estimation of adsorption parameters utilizing all the data available, to our knowledge, in the open literature. Two models Langmuir and Sips, characterized by four and six parameters, respectively, are used in this analysis, in order to systematically evaluate also the extent of the temperature influence on the adsorption properties. This is a scientific attempt to resume all the experimental data and supply to the scientists and other operators the values of common adsorption models, i.e., Langmuir and Sips ones, in such a way that the adsorption capacity/properties of silicalite can be easily evaluated using the estimated parameters, covering a wider range of temperature and pressure. This investigation is carried out for various gases (H2, CH4, CO2, CO, N2, C2H6, C3H8, n-C4H10) or Silicalite-type zeolites. The approach followed in this paper allows different end-users to use directly the calculated parameters in a number of applications, such as, for example, optimal design of zeolite membranes for gas mixture purification and of Pressure-Swing-Adsorption processes.
