Abstract:
This work aims to face the rapid digitization of Greek texts not yet in digital libraries, illustrating 1) what is an OCR engine; 2) what makes Greek OCR hard; 3) the work provided by Robertson and Boschetti; 4) future challenges on parallel architectures and proof reading system.
