Z8001-based central processing unit with capability addressing

A central processing unit has been implemented, based on a Zilog Z80001 microprocessor and other off-the-shelf chips. The main features are a capability scheme for the protection of information and an effective hardware support for context switching from one process to another. The letter describes the overall CPU design with special reference to these features.
