A portable power supply for sputter-ion pumps

In order to move samples amongst different ultra-high vacuum (uhv) chambers in the laboratory, an apparatus capable of operating a sputter-ion pump for long time in the absence of its mains power supply has been designed. It consists of an electronic circuit controlling a high-voltage module which is fed by batteries. © 1993.
