Abstract:
The municipal representation in the Catalan assemblies of the late medieval period is a particularly interesting topic to investigate, from the municipality's viewpoint, the main issues concerning
authority, which emerged in the city, as well as the intricacies of the political and economic power between the city, the monarchy and the other elements. Looking at this via the courts and thereby giving
priority to the viewpoint of the municipality, it is also possible to analyse the concept of Potestas, in particular that which the city council grants its solicitors and how they use it.
