The dossier on the Veii development as a urban structure has dramatically increased by the results of the Sapienza "Veii project" excavations especially in the citadel of Piazza d'Armi. The paper offers some reflections on the concept of urban structures in relation to the archaeological data from the city, the territory, and the necropolis.
