Air quality and climate change policies

Tha paper gives a general overview of the policies on air pollution and climate change implemented in the last twenty years. Some problems came from a lack of coordination among the two sectors in the past, at European and National level, and awareness is increasing on the necessity of a new approach: possible synergies have to be pursued in order to achieve interesting results in both sectors.
