Abstract:
Stereoselective nucleophilic phosphonylations of alpha-silyloxy aldehydes with TMSDEP proceed with moderate to excellent diastereoselectivity. The sense of asymmetric induction is strongly depending on the presence of bulky trialkyl silyloxy groups.
