Database design tools

The survey investigating DBMS usage by large organisations, which was conducted during the first part of the project on the "Evaluation and Implementation of Database Systems", reveales tha the lack of data-base design tools was widely felt. In order to deal with this problem, the report "Database Design Tools", describing a number of tools which have been developed mainly by research institutes to aid database design, was produced as part of the "Implementation" topic of the main project.
