Abstract:
This chapter reflects on the theoretical and operational implications of the concept of embeddedness applied to business strategies. Combining theoretical insights and case study analysis, the chapter shows that the corporate strategy as a whole (not only the location choice but also the marketing, the communication, and the corporate social responsibility) should be analyzed according to the degree of interaction the company establishes with the local territorial context.
