Place-making nel contesto post-pandemico: Hub di innovazione e nuove fabbriche urbane"

This contribution intends to describe a new vision on urban economic development in the light of the pan- demic and geopolitical crises, giving an organizational analysis of which industrial and entrepreneurial phenom- ena it would be an opportunity to intercept with respect to the logic of proximity and social and technological innovation, putting these aspects in dialogue with the management strategies of the regeneration processes of underutilized industrial spaces. For these purposes, some examples of the regeneration of underutilized industrial spaces as innovation hubs are described, observing the nature of the projects born to support these innovation sectors according to place-based dynamics. In the examples and in the proposed framework we look at the experimentation of Placemaking practices that go beyond the physical improvement of places to focus on the construction of proximity relationships, applied both in the industrial field and to the realization of research functions, cultural production and education addressed to diversified users.
