Spatial energy transfer in MgO:Cr3+

Selective excitation of the fluorescence from Cr3+ ions in Mg0 shows that only direct and rapid energy transfer exists between different sites. It is due to the aggregation of Cr3+ ions around of Mg2+ vacancy.
