Curatela del volume internazionale - New insights into the stratigraphic setting of Paleozoic to Miocene deposits: case studies from the Persian Gulf, Peninsular Malaysia and south-eastern Pyrenees

This book is focused on the stratigraphic analysis and related methodologies, both onshore and offshore and will host both Mediterranean and extra-Mediterranean case histories. The applied methodologies will include the seismic and sequence stratigraphy, sequence the field stratigraphic analysis, the integrated stratigraphy, the tephrostratigraphy,focusing on the petrographic analysis of volcanic deposits interlayered in sedimentary sequences. Chronostratigraphic correlations among different depositional sequences and regional unconformities to a basin scale are also invited, together with stratigraphic and tectono-stratigraphic analyses on sedimentary basins, both in compressional and extensional tectonic settings.
