Sul rapporto tra 'grammata/arthroi' e 'litterae/articuli'. Una riflessione sulla dimensione naturale dell'articolazione linguistica in Aristotele e Fabrici d'Acquapendente

In the following essay our goal is to examine the relationship between the written productions of 16th-century anatomist Fabrici, and those of his forerunner Aristotle, especially the latter's «biological» writings. Both authors are well aware of the natural bases of articulation in their analyses of human and non-human languages, but for what concerns phonic units and the fact that they can be put into writing, Fabrici shows a greater theoretical awareness, reflected in his use of technical vocabulary.
