A regional seismic section on the Campania continental margin (Naples Bay- Salerno Bay)

A regional seismic section on the Campania continental margin is herein presented, showing the main regional morpho-structural lineaments of the Naples and Salerno Gulfs. New data on the geological structure of the Gulf of Naples have been obtained by using a section composed of several seismic lines recorded along the structural trend running from the Ischia Island towards the Capri Island and the Volturno basin, located on the northern Campania continental margin offshore the Volturno plain. In the general setting of Naples and Salerno Bays fifteen seismic units have been distinguished, whose reconstruction has improved the geologic and stratigraphic knowledge of the Campania continental margin.
