An E/M-Learning Architecture based on Adaptive Testing

This paper discusses some features of e/m-Learning systems and proposes a learning architecture whose evolution is based on adaptive testing. In more detail, adaptive testing controls the evolution of a Petri Net which rules the access to learning and assessment contents during the studying process. All such contents are stored in LDAP-based databases, where subjects are organized in a hierarchic way on the basis of their difficulty and levels of knowledge.
