Abstract:
This paper aims at defining an interface for the CAN data-link layer that both fits in well with the IEEE Std 1003.1 socket paradigm, and allows the user to access the full range of capabilities implemented by CAN interface controllers. At the same time, this paper also attempts to set up a set of specifications
