Abstract:
This first and complete trial of the Fluvial Functionality Index (IFF) in Calabria, applied within the provincial boundary of Cosenza, shows the great territorial value of this new index with the goal of an overall vision of fluvial ecosystems. The right application of the method allows us to identify the main emergencies so that the political management could take steps in the right way of an environmental direction.
