abstract:
Investigations on a novel and severe disease affecting olive trees in Apulia (southern Italy ) disclosed the presence of infections of Xylella fastidiosa in olives, oleander and almond trees. This is the first report of infections in field caused by this quarantine bacterium in the EU territory.
